Update: Music Video
This is not at all related to my writing. Whilst at college I worked on a Music Video for ColdPlay's Cemeteries of London. I was the cinematographer and scripted the video. Check it out HERE.
Update: Story Competition
In May of last year Me, my younger Brother and my Dad all entered the Aphelion Flash Fiction Challenge. It was good fun and 19 stories were entered in all. Although my story 'Mister Adjuster' didn't win, it was good fun to participate. You can still read all the stories HERE.
I may post the story on here one day too. You never know.

Update: Story Accepted
In the last week I suddenly had a burst of energy and submitted my backlog of short stories that have been sat on my computer for a long ol' time.
I submitted them to various Webzines, Magazines, Websites and Podcasts. Well, two of them have been accepted very quickly indeed.
My flash fiction story 'That Thing Lurking Over There' will be in the April edition of the Aphelion Webzine.
My short story 'The Un-Extraordinary Day of The Bodger' was accepted by Tall Tale TV. A Youtube channel that narrates stories. Check them out HERE. No date for publication as of yet, however. But this will be my most productive year ever. But that's not saying much.

Story Publication: Spaceports and Spidersilk
My second publication, first paid, was published about a year ago too. My story 'Gravel Beneath Pounding Feet' appeared in the April 2017 issue of Spaceports and Spidersilk.
This was the first time I was paid for a story so I was thrilled with this one. It even got reviewed on SF Crowsnest, you can read the review HERE.
Meanwhile, if you liked the review, or even if you didn't, you can download the eBook featuring my story for $1 HERE.

First Story Publication: Beam Me Up! Podcast
A long while ago my first story was published, in Podcast form. It was title 'Venus Or Bust' and came in two parts on the Beam Me Up! Podcast in December 2014 and January 2015. This was my first ever publication so, as you can imagine, I was quite pleased.
You can listen to Part One HERE.
And Part Two HERE.
Here's the Beam Me Up! Podcast Website too.

26 Letters Rearanged
Hello. My name is Alex Jones, or, when I'm writing, Alexander D Jones (sounds a bit more professional). This is my blog/website/information dump.
I am an aspiring author, I have been published, not professionally, a few times now and I thought, if I want to move forward, I might as well start something to document my journey. And give me a bit more motivation too.
I will be posting about stories I have published, stories I'm working on as well as other bits and pieces. Should be fun, I hope you can join me on this literary adventure.
Why the title? You may ask. Well, I know that every story is just the 26 letters of the alphabet mixed around into different orders, I'm just going to try and my my organisation of those letters the best they can be.
Alex.
